나는

섬

 

푸른 바다 한가운데 홀로 솟아

바람의 속삭임에 자유로이 춤추네.

파도가 몸을 씻어주고

구름이 스치는 하늘을 향해 팔을 뻗어

나만의 고요한 왕국을 노래하네.

 

나는 섬, 너도 섬

우리 모두가 섬

각자 홀로 서있어 자유롭지.

 

하지만 깊은 바다 밑

우리는 하나의 땅에서 솟아올랐음을

알기에 외롭지 않다네.

자유는 그 깊은 연결 속에서

불꽃처럼

더욱 화려하게 수놓으며 피어나지.

 

벗이여,

심연의 대지에 깊이 뿌리 내린 채

구름 속으로, 하늘 위로

홀로 우뚝 솟아나라!

각자의 등대를 밝혀야

서로를 비추게 되리니.

 

홀로 핀 꽃이 아름답듯

독립된 영혼이 빛나듯

자유롭게 서 있는 우리

그래서 더욱 하나.

홀로 우뚝 서서 영원히 함께,

바다가 안아주는 그 깊은 포옹 속에.

I am

an island

 

Rising alone in the vast blue sea,

I dance freely to the whispers of the wind.

The waves wash over my body,

and I stretch my arms toward the sky

where passing clouds brush by,

singing of my quiet kingdom.

 

I am an island, and you are an island,

we are all islands,

standing free in our solitude.

 

Yet beneath the deep ocean,

we spring from the same hidden ground,

and knowing this, we are never truly alone.

Freedom, within that secret bond,

bursts like flame—

woven bright across the sea.

 

O friend,

root yourself deep in the unseen earth,

yet rise tall into the clouds,

into the boundless sky.

For only when each lights their beacon

can we shine upon one another.

 

As a lone flower blooms in beauty,

as a solitary soul glows with radiance,

we stand apart, free—

and thus become one.

Alone, yet together forever,
